Senior Systems Analyst

 Manage and maintain radiologist voice recognition server and all desktop clients. (Agfa Talkstation) Duties included HL7 interface and report management.
• Manage and maintain all dataflow to Cardiology PACS server and workstations. (Siemens Syngo Dynamics) Duties include management of orders to and from MagiclinkA HL7 server to Syngo Dynamics server, this also includes report management. Routing to long term archive is also done.
• Manage and maintain all dataflow to Mammography Imaging Server including CAD servers and reading stations. (Hologic, R2) Duties include routing of images to reading stations and long term archive.
• Create and manage end-users on Brit PACS system. Provide support to end users on Brit PACS including techs, radiologists, and referring doctors. Server support is also provided.
• Support to iSite users is provided.
• Support to GE MUSE users is also provided.
• General Radiology IT support provided to over 20 full-functional imaging clinics.
• Manage and maintain Digisonics OB ultrasound report system.
• Developed custom application used in Digisonics environment to capture structured report measurements. This custom application was a cost effective initiative for the radiology department.
• Lead in technical projects to upgrade and virtualize Agfa Talkstation production system. (One of the first sites to virtulize according to Agfa)
• Lead in technical projects to upgrade and virtualize Siemens Syngo Dynamics environment (MLA & Syngo)
• Lead and coordinated project to update and change IP addresses of over 90% of radiology modalities and Systems (mammo, kodaks, etc.)
• Lead in technical projects to upgrade Hologic environments (Tech and Radiologists) and replace end of life hardware.
• Assisted in re-directing all PACS/modalities to new Fibertown datacenter/PACS server. This task included re-directing archive and modality worklists.
• Lead in technical project to implement OB Digisonics reading system. Task included implementation of HL7 report transmission to EPIC system with access for radiologist via Citrix. Coordination between multiple teams showing leadership and organization.

PACS/RIS Coordinator

  • Set up and maintain all radiology and transcription HL7 interfaces.
  • Created, managed, and trained over 300 end users including techs, nurses, radiologists, and referring doctors on the use of the PACS system.
  • Created and assigned rights and roles for all end users.
  • Manage dataflow to local PACS database server and web server.
  • Initiated training of the Baylor College of Medicine radiology group on voice recognition system and set up hanging protocols on reading station.
  • Maintain active modality worklists for each imaging device and flow of images to PACS.
  • Created all PACS/RIS policies and protocols and developed all PACS/RIS downtime procedures.
  • Key point of contact for all Radiology IT issues and PACS/RIS issues.  Served as main contact between all vendors. (DR Systems, Meditech, Terarecon, GE, Siemens, Fuji, Nuance Commissure Transcription, Smartmed Transcription, Forward Advantage, Kodak, Otismed Corporation)
  • Set up 3D volume rendering software Terarecon, Workstation and AQnet server. 
  • Assist cardiologists with 3D software when interpreting Coronary CTA studies.  Designed a basic preliminary report template for cardiologists.
  • Built and maintain the RIS procedure dictionary in Meditech.
  • Lead a project with Forward Advantage to implement an auto-fax component to Meditech RIS.
  • Assisted with PACS system version upgrade and with an upgrade of antivirus software to all PACS machines.
  • Successfully integrated DR System PACS images and reports with Meditech EMR and ITS modules.
